Common questions
Which Emojo trike is easiest to get on and off?
The Bull. Its frame dips to 22 cm (8.5 in), so you walk in and sit down instead of swinging a leg over. It has a backrest seat and weighs 36 kg (80 lb), the lightest trike we sell. The Bull Urban Cruiser shares the same 8.5-inch step. Next lowest: Bull Trail 25 cm (10 in), Dexter 33 cm (13 in), Bison Pro 38 cm (15 in), Caddy Pro 46 cm (18 in).
Which Emojo trike folds?
The Dexter folds to about 107 × 79 × 69 cm (42 × 31 × 27 in), small enough for many SUVs, RV storage bays and condo bike rooms. It still weighs 42 kg (93 lb), so plan on two people or a ramp to lift it. The Bison Pro and Bison Pro Urban Cruiser also fold, but at 56 kg (123 lb) they fold for storage, not for lifting into a car.
Can I carry my grandkids?
Yes, on an Urban Cruiser. The Bull, Caddy Pro and Bison Pro Urban Cruisers add a rear bench for up to three children, 59 kg (130 lb) in total, with storage underneath.
Which trike suits a bigger or taller rider?
The Caddy Pro. It carries up to 181 kg (400 lb) and fits riders 147–208 cm (4'10"–6'10"), best 163–208 cm (5'4"–6'10"), with fat tires and front suspension. Its stand-over is 46 cm (18 in), so it is not our lowest step. If getting on is the hard part, look at the Bull first.
Which trike goes the farthest on a charge?
The Bison Pro: up to 160 km (99 mi) with pedal assist, on its two batteries. Lowest assist, flat ground, light rider, warm day. Everyday riding around 129 km. Real range depends on rider weight, hills, wind and temperature; expect noticeably less below 5 °C. For most errands and neighbourhood rides, the Bull's range, up to 105 km (65 mi) with pedal assist, is plenty.
Which trike is best off the pavement?
The Bull Trail. Its 4-inch fat tires handle gravel paths, packed trails, grass and campground roads. Its step is 25 cm (10 in), a little higher than the Bull.
Is an electric trike a medical expense or tax-deductible in Canada?
No, not as a rule. The CRA's medical expense list covers wheelchairs, walkers and scooters used instead of a wheelchair, but not bicycles or tricycles, and Ontario's Assistive Devices Program excludes adaptive tricycles. Some prescribed adaptations may qualify, so ask your accountant. (CRA RC4065, Ontario ADP)
Will it fit through my door, or in my car?
Most doorways are 76–91 cm (30–36 in) wide. Our trikes are 71–79 cm wide: Bull and Bull Urban Cruiser 71 cm (28 in), Bison Pro 76 cm (29.8 in), Dexter 77 cm (30.3 in), Bull Trail and Caddy Pro 79 cm (31 in). Measure your narrowest door or gate first. For a car, the folding Dexter is the one to choose.
Does it arrive assembled?
Mostly. You attach the handlebar and pedals and make a few adjustments, about 1–2 hours with the toolkit in the box. The Dexter arrives 95% assembled and takes 15–20 minutes. You can also add our full assembly service at checkout. Stuck? Call us and we'll walk you through it.
Who fixes it in year two?
Contact us first: call 1-833-345-5543 or text 778-742-5604 (Mon–Fri, 8 am–5 pm Pacific), or email support@emojobike.com. We troubleshoot with you, then repair or replace the faulty part under warranty. Any bike shop can fit standard parts like tires, brakes and chains; shop labour isn't covered. Every trike has a 1-year warranty; Walk-In and Queen's Edition bundles include 3 years.

Below −15 °C we hold the battery and ship it separately by ground — lithium cells don't like a frozen truck. Store yours indoors at 40–60% charge between November and April; it costs you nothing and buys about two extra seasons of range.
More questions
Can I ride it if I have not been on a bike in 20 years?
Yes — that is most of our riders. Start in a quiet parking lot, use pedal-assist level 1 for the first hour, and keep the throttle for hills. Most people are comfortable inside twenty minutes.
How heavy is it, and can I lift it?
36 kg (80 lb) with the battery. Most riders never lift it — but take the battery out first if you need to.
Do I need a licence or insurance in my province?
In most provinces an e-trike limited to 32 km/h needs neither. Rules vary, so call us with your province and we will tell you exactly where you stand.
Can I order without using the website?
Yes. Call 1-833-345-5543, Monday to Friday 8am–5pm PT, and we will take the order together.
